This is an old popular phrase used once to each of us sometime along our lives, when we were
children, we probably heard it most. Yet, it is something that's not necessarily followed by the amount of people I hope that it will someday and I still cannot figure out why people carry so must distrust for one another. It;s truly sad to me.
Let's break this down a bit.... It seems the aspect of RESPECT is not as popular as it once had been, meaning a simple "Hello" doesn't come short of any gestures as we walk down the street or "how's your day going today" at the grocery store.
It very well could just be me, but I make a point to say hello to everyone I come in contact with, I mean geeze, it's
common courtesy, right? This was how I was raised and how I'm raising my child as well. I really couldn't see it any other way.
Maybe the correlation of respect and
human nature is no longer in the cards.
One must respect who they are before they can respect another and I believe in this.
Second, respect for who you are comes with loving everything....your mind, body, spirit and
soul.
Third, self-respect entails confidence,
self-love, and the ability to think positively. The hope one can respect another will and can be possible if these items are taken more seriously.
It goes a little something like this, "DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER"!
I understand this seems like such a simple and manageable concept, but the fact is, this was important enough to me to post about. I hope it mends the
heart of one that realizes maybe they need to be more respective of themselves and others as well.
Thank you as always and make it a wonderful day!

Hi Mandy, I agree with you whole heartly, I was having a conversation with my husband about this one neighbor we have, this person doesn't like speaking with respect, they always have a negative reponse or they just don't speak. I said to him when you see this person never speak first, let them speak to you first therefore; they don't have a chance to be negative towards you.
Speak when spoken to, this is how you treat this sort of an individual.
You are so right and thank you for commenting.
Hope you hear back from you soon!
